Beautiful beginnings

Thinking back as far as I can remember I have not been one to keep new year resolutions but this year i decided to fulfill my new year resolutions and am not doing bad at all. Although some of these resolutions span throughout the year but jump starting them is not bad. Lemme start with these ones :
 My first resolution was love: showing it and giving more of it. You never fail with giving love even though you are sometimes taken for granted or hurt.... There is still this fulfillment of giving without expecting much back and believe me it works, like my colleague at work says show love even if the person doesn't deserve it , show genuine care . It helps you at home or work …… it makes the person want to talk to you, share their fears with you cos they believe you CARE about them.

 Patience- although not a strong point of mine{hands covering face} I have tried to work on it . I have slowed down and let things flow, I have learnt that things can't always go at my pace. We are all different in our own ways.

 Tolerance- this includes pretending not to see or hear or respond to what people do and OVERLOOKING things a lot.

 Loosing weight - this one is my most important resolutions cos I have been struggling with my weight since I had my baby but I wont say weight sha cos I have skinny arms it's my massive bum and kangaroo pouch that am trying to eliminate and so far I have achieved 4% of my goal for it, am still on it.
 Sowing- my first love before banking; am hoping to finish classes this year and start making beautiful pieces.

 Friendship- last year I was so tested by friends , in fact I lost the notion that friends matter in my life until I met one special person that changed everything though we may not be so close as seeing each other everyday or talking everyday what I appreciate most about her was sharing her dreams with me, you need to see us together making business plans.... It was so fulfilling and might I add that we work together and u know how people say you cant make friends at work , she makes that a myth .... Infact she was a great friend and she changed me a lot..... Am grateful... U know yourself{wink wink }. And my other friend God bless him sent me this prayer and I thot I share with you guys:

"Omosalewa thanks for all your efforts to boost my disabilities , I pray God will raise people known and unknown to raise you beyond your imaginations . U are a lady of destiny, don't limit your scope . you will surely get there"

This has been my best booster this year,it has charged me to go out there and pursue my dreams. What would I do without such uplifting friends.....
Ok I think am done , this is all I have for now , do you have new year resolutions ……. All the best as you fulfill them.

Racketing

A discussion today with a friend of mine led me to write this post.  Ladi and I were discussing racketing  a.k.a runns girls . he cant phantom why a lady/ies should exchange sex for money…… why can't they do it for love??? or at least like the person involved .

It got me thinking must a lady sleep around in order to get money or likewise just for the fun of it. Ladi cited one  occasion for me;  Halima , very beautiful and sexy looking lady who met Jide- Ladi's friend and they exchanged numbers / bb pins and got chatting .

Halima and Jide were warming up to each other or so jide thought;so on his next flight to Abuja for business  he called up Halima to meet him up. On arriving Halima was already waiting for him at the airport and thus they proceeded to the Hilton where they had dinner and proceeded to do the deed.

The next morning Ladi was awakened by a call on his phone for  Jide asking him to come to his room immediately: on getting there he saw 1000 naira notes scattered everywhere totaling to fifty thousand naira, Halima was screaming at the top of her lungs that how can she be paid such chicken feed haaaaa she wouldn't even sleep with a man for one thousand dollars talk less of fifty thousand naira only. Jide stepped into the issue and asked halima what she had sold to get a payment  and  that she had a few seconds to take the fifty thousand naira  or leave or else ……... She took the money and scuttled out of the room half naked.

Ladi was so shocked he thought that she loved him and that they had something……(hahahahahhaha-wicked laughter); might I add that ladi is a married man and I don't feel bad for him as he has a beautiful wife at home yet he chose to run after another lady outside; a lady who didn't give a shit about him... Love sha,its all about the benjamins baaaaby

Please feel free to comment- is it worth it to sell your body for sex??

Hope.....

Just this afternoon I sat watching the television and a documentary came on about OWLAG (Oprah winfery leadership academy for girls) opera's school in South Africa. I must say I was touched and humbled, as human beings we take so much for granted ; here were young girls who had no access to water, accommodation, food etc talkless of getting an education.

These girls are from poor backgrounds living in villages and suburbs most of them rejected by their fathers, suffering from segregation.... Racism is very much alive in South Africa despite all efforts to stop it.

Oprah went on to say that in building the school she was so particular about the infrastructure, the electronic platforms, the beddings, the best teachers, electricity, water and toilet system; off all these the girls were thrilled about two things only..... the running water and the toilet systems, they were screaming and standing under the showers……. How can a child not have the basic amenities .... Its so sad

Oprah gave them  hope, love , happiness, acceptance etc  to these girls , you should have seen their faces they cried , they laughed, they were so confused. Bearing in mind that this was the first generation after the aphartheid; it was very liberating for these girls. Oprah's humanitarian services has been written down in the sands of time .

It brought only one thing to my mind in all you do never loose hope, never give up on your dreams, the sky is the limit; nothing is impossible……
